CONTAINS explores the stories behind the products we use every day – how they’re made, the materials used, the energy consumed, the miles travelled – in an innovative, inspiring and accessible exhibition that shows how design can make a difference.
Part of Design Event 07thetheme for 2007 is “How do we want to live?”. In an urban environment how can we escape and find solace? How can we create and add more value to things we purchase so they are treasured and held dear rather than discarded as the next trend comes along? How often do we take time to look up and appreciate what’s around us? How does the region we live in influence our work and our play? The DE07 programme of exhibitions and events looks at these questions and presents some interesting answers.
